Civil Engineer Jobs in Saudi Arabia. Al Jomaih Energy & Water (AEW) is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join a landmark 2400 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power project in Taweelah, Abu Dhabi. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to work as an Owner’s Representative, contributing across the full project lifecycle—from design and construction to commissioning and operation—within a high-impact, long-term infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Owner’s Representative for all civil engineering aspects of the CCGT project
- Collaborate with project teams to plan, schedule, and monitor civil engineering activities
- Review civil engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Interpret construction drawings and ensure contractor compliance with approved designs
- Oversee on-site civil construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence
- Conduct site inspections and verify compliance with Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements (MS)
- Review and approve construction documents, including MARs, MS, and ITPs
- Monitor construction progress, identify deviations, and ensure timely corrective actions
- Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control measures
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues
- Support budget monitoring, cost control, and progress forecasting
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, NCRs, and progress reports
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, risk assessments, and safety protocols
- Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure permitting and regulatory compliance
- Participate in site meetings and provide regular updates to senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience as a Civil Engineer in CCGT or power projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable
- Strong experience in civil construction supervision, inspections, and structural assessments
- In-depth knowledge of civil codes and standards including ACI, ASCE, AISC, IBC, ASTM, BS, ISO, and SBC
- Proven experience with concrete structures, steel works, foundations, and soil mechanics
- Proficiency in testing and inspection methods such as soil compaction, concrete strength, and rebar inspection
