Key Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare dishes to a high standard, ensuring quality and consistency
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards
• Monitor dish quality throughout preparation and presentation
• Contribute to a positive kitchen culture through coaching and teamwork
• Coordinate effectively with Front-of-House and leadership teams
• Ensure every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a chef in a high-volume, quality restaurant or equivalent culinary qualification
• Strong culinary skills with the ability to manage a section
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Organised, proactive, and able to remain calm under pressure
• Commitment to sustainability and sourcing local ingredients
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (Gibbston is 25 minutes from Queenstown)
• Legal right to work in New Zealand (NZ/Aus citizen, resident, or open work visa)
