Key Responsibilities
- Cook and prepare dishes to a high standard, ensuring quality and consistency
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards
- Monitor dish quality throughout preparation and presentation
- Contribute to a positive kitchen culture through coaching and teamwork
- Coordinate effectively with Front-of-House and leadership teams
- Ensure every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a chef in a high-volume, quality restaurant or equivalent culinary qualification
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to manage a section
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to remain calm under pressure
- Commitment to sustainability and sourcing local ingredients
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (Gibbston is 25 minutes from Queenstown)
- Legal right to work in New Zealand (NZ/Aus citizen, resident, or open work visa)
