The Activities Technician team plays a vital role in delivering therapeutic, recreational, and leisure programs across the campus.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide total care for horses and small animals, including feeding, watering, grooming, and training
• Oversee horseback riding and grooming lessons, ensuring proper documentation in eChart
• Maintain farm buildings, arena, and grounds, including grooming the arena using a tractor
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and maintenance of equipment and physical areas
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and equipment to verify safety and functionality
• Detect, minimize, and eliminate safety hazards
• Develop and follow safety and service plans to reduce risk
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and participate in meetings
• Clean and disinfect areas and equipment as required
• Maintain confidentiality and follow protocols for working with vulnerable adults
• Act as a resource to team members and provide input regarding client needs

Requirements

• Experience caring for horses
• Experience providing riding lessons
• Basic computer and documentation skills
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to pass a criminal history background check
• Eligibility for direct patient access in accordance with Utah regulations
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to work outdoors and in varied environmental conditions
